You Won’t Believe What People Buy on Copart

Hey guys, recently I saw something absolutely insane.
This thing is wild. Basically a fully custom VW Super Beetle turned into a crazy aluminum tube-frame hot rod. Mid-engine V8, huge rear tires, open cockpit – looks like something straight out of Mad Max. Super lightweight, loud, sketchy, and probably insanely fast. Definitely not your average Beetle anymore.
And the craziest part? Final bid was only $6,200. Somebody got an insanely cool project car!
Copart and IAAI are full of crazy stuff, so I got curious what else people are selling there. Let’s check it out.
The next weird thing I found was basically a mini VW El Camino, haha. It’s a custom Volkswagen Beetle truck conversion. Looks super cool and old school. Tiny, goofy, but somehow stylish at the same time.
Honestly, I can’t decide if it’s more of a show car or just the perfect weekend toy. And yeah – if you like it, you still have time to bid on it.
Honestly, Copart is full of random stuff and surprises. Old road signs, buckets full of bolts… who even buys this stuff? But somehow people do.
Right next to all that, I found a super expensive 1970 Plymouth Cuda listed for $125K. Yeah, it’s a legendary old-school muscle car and huge respect to the guys who restored it, but come on… $125K is crazy, especially for a car with accident history. I’m not saying it’s a lemon, but salvage history is salvage history, and you gotta keep that in mind.
What I really love though is this amphibious thing. You don’t even need roads anymore – just drive or float wherever you want. Perfect apocalypse car, haha.
And then I saw this weird machine and my first thought was: what the hell is that? Is this the front or the back of the car?
But turns out it’s actually a super cool find – a Studebaker Avanti. One of the weirdest American cars from the ‘60s. Back then it looked like an alien spaceship compared to normal Ford and Chevy cars. Later the Avanti became a total cult classic. Even in rough shape it’s still an awesome project because these cars are rare and instantly recognizable.
