Hey guys! Today I want to talk about one of my favorite types of vehicles – low mileage cars. What should you do if you want to buy a car with very low mileage? Do you really have to go to a dealer? Not at all. Salvage auctions are not only about junk or scrap cars. You can find real gems there that you will never see on eBay, marketplaces, or at a dealer. So let’s start. Let’s go!
First, the easiest option. If you want a car with almost no mileage, there are many of them. You can easily find cars with 10-20 miles that still have factory protective film inside. Yes, they may need a little work, but you can get a car that is basically new. For example, this 2026 Volkswagen Atlas has only 10 miles on the odometer. It looks like a great deal.
The second category is supercars with very low mileage. These cars are usually well taken care of, rarely driven, and carefully stored. You can find really great cars for a good price. For example, this 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo is almost 20 years old, but it still looks amazing.
Next category is compact cars used for short trips. They are easy to park, good for city driving, and usually do not have high mileage. This is a great option for a big city, especially if you have a second car. Just look at this 2012 Smart Fortwo – it looks almost new.
I know, not everyone needs a supercar or a small city car. My favorite category is a cheap daily driver. If you want a car for everyday use and want to avoid serious problems, look for one with low mileage. Sometimes you can find a car that looks almost new. Take this 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. The car is 18 years old, but it has only 217 miles. That’s a real time capsule!
Yes, cars like this are rare and can cost more than usual. But there are many good cars with 10-20 thousand miles that look great and cost only $2-3K. I personally like this 2009 Ford Taurus with only 11,746 miles. It’s old, but strong and reliable, and it can last longer than many modern cars.
