Big Wheels for Big Kids: From Matchbox to Monster

When we were kids, nothing beat playing with toy cars. And if you had the full set – police, ambulance, fire truck, and all the rest – you were the king of the playground. Now we’ve grown up, but imagine going back to that dream… only this time it’s for real. Big kids want BIG cars – and it’s even more exciting than we ever imagined, haha!
Let’s take a look at what you can buy on Copart and IAAI auctions today and how much the full set would cost.
2008 Jeep Wrangler RHD
This Jeep isn’t your average Wrangler – this one’s got the steering wheel on the other side. Originally built for postal carriers and export markets, it’s basically saying, “Yes, I deliver mail… but I can also climb a mountain on the way.”

Jeep made these in RHD for the US Postal Service so rural mail carriers wouldn’t have to stretch across the seat like yoga instructors. Or you can just go to the drive-thru and confuse everyone – you’re ordering from the passenger window like a boss.

So, we’ve found a cool postal vehicle – and I think you’ll be able to snag it for around $4,000-$4,500.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe
This Tahoe Police isn’t just any family SUV – it’s basically the law on wheels. Built for police duty, it’s tougher than your average Tahoe, with beefed-up suspension, heavy-duty brakes, and an interior designed to survive coffee spills, pursuit adrenaline, and the occasional donut crumb. Sure, it once chased bad guys, but now it could be chasing your grocery list.

It’s fast, it’s tough, and it’s got that “move over” presence on the highway – even if the lights are long gone. I’d say you could grab it for about $6,500.
1999 Pierce Tilt Cab
It’s basically a rolling superhero. Built to carry water, ladders, and enough hoses to start a small plumbing business, it’s ready for action. Forget traffic jams – with this thing, you are the siren.
And yes, it tilts – the whole cab tips forward to show off its big, shiny engine. It’s like the firetruck equivalent of flexing at the gym. You could keep it as the ultimate parade ride, or finally live your dream of showing up to every BBQ as the guy who brought his own firetruck… just in case.

The seller is asking a whopping $25K, but you can easily find something similar for $4,000-$5,000.
2018 Ford F-450 Emergency
This emergency vehicle is basically a superhero truck – big, loud, and built to save the day. With its massive size and heavy-duty 6.7L power stroke diesel engine, it could probably tow your house if it wanted to. Originally made to respond to emergencies in record time, now it could be your ultimate “get out of my way” daily driver. And you’ll never have trouble finding a parking spot… because people will just move.

The final bid will probably be around $7,500.
2005 International 3000 School bus
It’s a childhood memory machine. Once upon a time, it carried noisy kids, but today it’s your blank canvas. People turn these into RVs, party buses, food trucks, or even mobile homes. And yes, you could keep the bright yellow paint and relive that “back of the bus” glory. I’d guess you could get it for around $4,500-$5,000.

Well, we’ve collected the full set of cars – police, postal, fire truck, ambulance, and school bus. In total, your garage will run you about $27K-$30K, and you can find all these vehicles at Copart and IAAI to make your childhood dream come true!
Whether you’re after salvage vehicles for sale, auction trucks, or rare and unique rides, your childhood dream garage is just a click away.
