Don’t use lemon squad for salvage auto auction inspections
This week in AutoHackers, Ram told me he ordered an inspection from Lemon Squad, but Copart wouldn’t let them into the yard to check the car.
Lemon Squad might be good for inspecting cars from private sellers or dealers, but not at salvage auctions. To inspect cars at Copart or IAAI, you need a special registration and have to pay a yearly fee. Not every inspector has this. So, if you want to inspect a car, ask the inspector if they can get into Copart or IAAI first.
I actually got lots of questions on inspection, and thinking of creating an Andrew’s list of inspectors around the USA.
