Can I trust information on Salvage Auto Auction website 100?!

Last edit: March 07 2024 • 294 view

Answer: NO!

While we, at CARS4.BID, strive to provide accurate and reliable data, it’s fundamentally important for you to carry out your own comprehensive research. Our platform, CARS4.BID, combines information from two auto auction sites, Copart and IAAI. We do our own things to standardize this data, ensuring its credibility by conducting our own rigorous checks which include running each vehicle through a detailed VIN decoder and more.

However, it is key to remember that no system is entirely out of errors. Even salvage auto auction clerks, despite their expertise, can occasionally make mistakes. These errors can range from entering incorrect mileage to misstating the engine capacity of the vehicle.

Much like the salvage auto auctions, we do not provide a guarantee on the absolute accuracy of the information provided. If you stumble upon a car that piques your interest on our platform, we strongly recommend that you research it meticulously. Verify the trim, engine capacity, and mileage of the car. We recommend running a detailed VIN report and conducting a thorough Google search as well.

Remember, it’s your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information.

Example

To provide an example, I recently received an inquiry from a customer regarding an Aston Martin Vantage. The trim was listed as 2.5i, while Copart had it listed as 5.7L, and our specs showed a 4.3L. Haha! Who is right?!

My advice to the customer was to rely on the engine picture, which clearly showed 4.7L.

So, with this example, you can understand the necessity of conducting your own thorough research!
